What is the IRIScan Anywhere 6, and what documents can it scan?

The IRIScan Anywhere Black Portable WiFi Simplex Document Scanner with OCR, PPM Battery-Powered Scanner for Windows, Mac, iOS and Android, Readiris PDF Included is a portable, rechargeable-battery scanner for simplex work, meaning it scans one side of a document at a time [c_0002, c_0038]. The listing gives its maximum speed as pages per minute for both color and black-and-white documents Amazon.com: IRIScan Anywhere Black Portable….

The stated document range is broad for everyday paperwork: supported examples include contracts, business cards, receipts, forms, pictures, drawings, and notes [c_0036, c_0037]. The listing also says it handles documents up to 8.5 by inches, as well as ID cards and receipts Amazon.com: IRIScan Anywhere Black Portable…. That stated size is a listing specification, not a result I independently verified. Since this is a simplex scanner, double-sided originals require handling both sides separately rather than relying on the scanner to capture both in one pass Amazon.com: IRIScan Anywhere Black Portable….

What are its speed, resolution, file formats, and battery capacity?

The IRIScan Anywhere is listed at up to pages per minute in simplex mode and dpi resolution [c_0001, c_0003]. These are listing specifications; the supplied claims do not include independent speed or image-quality test results.

The listing names Word, PDF, and Excel as scan output options Amazon.com: IRIScan Anywhere Black Portable…. There’s an important software distinction: the Windows Capture Tool creates image files and does not perform OCR text conversion IRIScan Anywhere Wifi Simplex/Duplex…. Its listed formats are JPEG, BMP, GIF, PDF, MPDF, TIFF, and MTIFF IRIScan Anywhere Wifi Simplex/Duplex…. Readiris software is separately identified in the companion-software information Amazon.com: IRIScan Anywhere Black Portable….

The listing describes a rechargeable lithium battery, but it doesn’t publish the battery’s capacity Amazon.com: IRIScan Anywhere Black Portable…. I therefore can’t give a capacity figure or infer battery runtime from that description. The Duplex model’s separate technical details shouldn’t be treated as Simplex specifications; the supplied figures for its resolution options, interpolated resolution, image formats, and cell weight are explicitly for Duplex [c_0015, c_0016, c_0017].

How does the simplex model compare with the IRIScan Anywhere WiFi Duplex?

The IRIScan Anywhere Simplex scans one side at a time, while the IRIScan Anywhere WiFi Duplex is designated for duplex scanning [c_0002, c_0006]. Both models are listed at pages per minute, but that shared figure doesn’t establish that Duplex is faster per page or provide a directly comparable real-world test Amazon.com: IRIScan Anywhere Black Portable….

The support-page battery figures differ: with WiFi on, the Simplex model is listed for scans and the Duplex model for scans Discover the software, user guides and…. Those figures are useful for comparing the published claims, but they don’t establish how either model will perform in every use pattern. The supplied information doesn’t explain the conditions behind those battery figures in enough detail to turn them into a guaranteed runtime.

For a buyer choosing between them, the clearest documented distinction is scanning sides: choose based on whether one-sided-at-a-time scanning suits your documents or whether the Duplex designation matters more [c_0002, c_0006]. The evidence here doesn’t support a claim that the Duplex model is quicker per page.

What is the current price, and what comes with the scanner?

For software, the Amazon listing describes the companion package as a TWAIN driver, Button Manager, Readiris OCR, and Readiris PDF Amazon.com: IRIScan Anywhere Black Portable…. The installer information separately lists components such as scanner drivers, Button Manager, Readiris PDF 23, and Virtual Scanner Link [c_0020, c_0025]. Those details matter if your routine depends on automatic two-sided capture or a router-based wireless setup.

If the scanner’s WiFi network name isn’t visible, the support page advises checking that the WiFi switch is on and that the WiFi LED is lit IRIScan Anywhere Simplex / Duplex – IRIS…. For scans that look too dark on screen, it recommends setting screen settings to sRGB and adjusting the application’s screen brightness IRIScan Anywhere Simplex / Duplex – IRIS…. That advice concerns how scans appear on screen; the supplied claim doesn’t promise a change to the scanned file itself.

For lines on a scan, the support instructions say to remove dust or stains from the original and clean the rollers and glass IRIScan Anywhere Simplex / Duplex – IRIS…. These are manufacturer support suggestions, not fixes I tested. The available claims don’t establish other causes or remedies.
